Exclusively for graduates of the Talking About the Gita online course
Join us in Assisi—the historic home of contemplative practice—for a four-day immersion into the living wisdom of the Gita. This retreat is designed specifically for those who have completed the Talking About the Gita online course and want to deepen, apply, and reflect on the teachings in community.
Across these days, we will return to the central themes of the course through daily asana, japa meditation, kirtan, guided reflection, and group dialogue. A large portion of the positive feedback from the online course centered around our conversations together and the depth they helped unlock in the group. During the retreat we’ll continue these exchanges—both between Joshua and Jules, and with the entire community—creating a space where everyone is invited into meaningful conversation.
Each participant will receive a japa mala and engage in daily japa and chanting sessions with Joshua. Jules will guide daily asana practice, weaving philosophical threads into embodied experience. There will be time-management and dharma-based inquiry sessions where we revisit the goals you set during the course and examine how they have taken shape.
The retreat is not a repeat of the online material—it is the second half of the journey. A space to pause, return, recalibrate, and reconnect. A chance to ask deeper questions, sit with the dilemmas we may have and find a way to live well.
Assisi offers a serene environment for introspection, community, and practice. We look forward to welcoming you in person and continuing this exploration together.
If you have not taken the on-line course it’s not too late. You can find more information and register here: https://digital.jivamuktiyoga.com/pages/gita
